The Professor Dr Max Cloëtta Foundation was set up in Zürich on September 27, 1973 by Dr Antoine Cloëtta in honour of his father, Professor Dr Max Cloëtta. At the time of creation, the capital of the Foundation amounted to SFr. 500’000.–. During his lifetime, and particularly in the years that preceded his death, the founder endowed the Foundation further with substantial funds. The capital amounts at present to some 40 millions Swiss francs. Donations from third parties may be made at any time and are accepted with gratitude. The capital of the Foundation may not be reduced, but is to be increased in the medium term in accordance with inflation.
